Description
A project by architect Virgínio Moutinho, the building Ateliers da Lada, initially designed to accommodate young artists, today houses the Associação Nacional de Treinadores de Futebol [National Soccer Coach Association]. Discreetly suspended over the East entrance of the Ribeira tunnel, the building shows an iron structure evoking the proximity with the D. Luís Bridge and the Lada Elevator. The horizontal development of the volume is emphasized by the lightness of the flat roof and the pavement that leans over the Barredo, this way making one of the most beautiful landscapes in Porto. The meeting room is something we would all envy to have as a home.
