Designed by office Pedra Líquida, Casa do Conto is a small hotel that maintains the exterior appearance of a 19th Century bourgeois house. Its interior was totally rebuilt after a fire destroyed, unfortunately, the immense prior renovation work done in a more traditional way. Taking on the visible concrete of the new structure, the authors of the project recovered in an intelligent and sophisticated way the themes of the traditional house. The oval skylight of the stairs or crafted ceilings with the graphics by design atelier R2, is an example of that. The refined decoration and the elegance of the furniture, and also the photographs on the wall, help to make a charming environment. Get in the elevator and let yourself be taken straight to heaven.
