Description
Designed by architect Luís Pedro Silva, the Terminal de Cruzeiros de Leixões [Cruise Ship Terminal of Leixões] was born in the scope of 2004’s Port Strategic Development Plan. Articulating a new cruise ship dock and a marina, the building includes also the Sea Centre of the University of Porto. With an extravagant architectural shape, that stands out on the city skyline, this building expresses a strategy to attract new tourists but it also favours the general public by offering the best view of the sea of the Matosinhos city. We strongly recommend a visit to the roof.
