Description

The building of the Porto Municipality, designed initially by António Correia da Silva in the twenties, is known mainly by its façade that, besides crowning the Aliados Avenue, serves as a symbol of the city, competing historically in that role with the Clérigos Tower. To go through the inside of the building is for most people a first: the alterations headed by Carlos Ramos, the exuberance of the indoor decorations and the roof, from where you can see the planning of the public space designed by Távora, Siza and Souto Moura.
