Description
Not exactly an architectural work, the Industrial Complex of the Matosinhos Refinery, opened in 1970, is nevertheless one of the most interesting infrastructures of the seaside landscape. At night, shamelessly illuminated, it reminds us of Manhattan or other cities that can be associated with science fiction culture. It is from there that most fuel for our trips comes from. Some years ago people would say that even the seawater around it could move motorbikes. Today, the rational use of natural resources implies a conscience and social responsibility in favour of a sustainable development. Go and check it out. Take a bike.
